Identifying the Spatiotemporal Differences and Driving Forces of Residents’ Consumption at the Provincial Level in the Context of the Digital Economy

The digital economy has become a new form of the economy. Based on data from China Year Book 2012 to 2020, this paper characterizes China’s spatial differences in regional consumption expenditure context We utilize GIS analysis technique, ESDA, Geodetector, and other econometric tools reveal spatiotemporal evolution patterns driving mechanism residents’ development for 31 provinces propose differentiated policy suggestions against background China, creating reference decision making China. findings show that, first, provincial expenditures appear decrease gradient eastern central western showing extreme polarization aggregation.
